Privacy policy

This policy explains how we process your personal data when you visit the site, book a class, create an account or subscribe to the newsletter (EU Regulation 2016/679, "GDPR").

Data controller

What data we process

• Bookings: first and last name, email, phone, country, language, guests, any allergies or intolerances you tell us, special requests.
• Payments: outcome, amount and payment reference. Card and PayPal account details are handled directly by Stripe and PayPal: we never see them.
• Customer area: profile data, password (stored only in encrypted form), sign-ins.
• Gift cards: buyer details (name, email) and, if you provide them, the recipient's name and email and your message.
• Enquiries: what you write in the private experience and contact forms (name, email, phone, date, group size, message).
• Newsletter: email, name, language, date and method of consent.
• Reviews: rating, text and the name and city you choose to show, linked to your booking.
• Browsing: technical data needed for the site to work securely; cookies as described in the cookie policy.

Why and on what legal basis

• Managing bookings, gift cards, payments, class communications and the customer area: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Answering your enquiries and quote requests: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6.1.b).
• Tax and accounting duties: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c).
• Allergies and intolerances, only to prepare the class safely: your explicit consent (Art. 9.2.a).
• Newsletter, publishing your review, statistics and external maps: your consent (Art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time.
• Site security and fraud prevention: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f).

Who we share data with

Only with providers that help us deliver the service, appointed as data processors:

• the provider of the server hosting the site, within the European Union;
• Stripe and PayPal, for online payments;
• Google, only with your consent, for statistics (Google Analytics) and maps (Google Maps);
• Brevo, for sending emails and the newsletter;
• GetYourGuide, if you book through that platform;
• tax and accounting advisers, for legal obligations.

We never sell or publish your data. Some providers may process data outside the European Union: in these cases transfers rely on the safeguards required by the GDPR (adequacy decisions, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses).

How long we keep data

• Booking and payment data: 10 years, as required by tax rules.
• Account: until you delete it (you can do so from your profile).
• Enquiries that do not become a booking: 24 months from the last contact.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Reviews: as long as they are published or until you ask us to remove them.
• Allergies and intolerances: until the class ends, unless you save them in your profile.
• Consent records: as long as needed to prove consent.

Do you have to give us your data?

The data requested to book or buy a gift card is necessary: without it we cannot handle your request. Allergies, newsletter and optional cookies are your choice. We make no decisions based solely on automated processing, and no profiling.

Your rights

You can ask at any time for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR) by writing to info@jfgmentors.it. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing already carried out.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority or the authority of your country.
