Terms of service

These terms govern bookings for the cooking classes offered by J.F.G. Home Cooking Mentors S.r.l. (JFG Mentors), registered office Via Pietro Maroncelli 24, 50137 Firenze, tax code and VAT 07480650485, REA FI-706306, PEC jfg@pec.net.

Booking

You book on the site by choosing the class, date, language and number of guests. You will receive a summary email with your booking code. The booking is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email.

Prices and payment

Prices are in euros and include VAT. Depending on the class you can pay:

• online by card (via Stripe) or with PayPal: the booking is confirmed on payment;
• by bank transfer by the stated deadline: if payment does not arrive, the booking is cancelled and the seats released;
• on site, on the day of the class, where offered.

Cancellations and date changes

Cancellation and date change terms are shown on the class page and in the confirmation email, and remain those in force when you booked. You can cancel or request a date change from your account or by writing to us.

As these are leisure services for a specific date, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply (Art. 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code): the class cancellation terms apply instead.

If we cancel a class (for example because of bad weather or too few guests), we will offer you another date or a full refund.

Gift cards

• A gift card can be worth an amount in euros or a specific class. You use it by entering its code when booking on the site.
• The gift card is valid for 12 months from the purchase date shown on it. After it expires, any unused balance can no longer be spent.
• If the booking costs less than the balance, the rest stays on the card for future bookings; if it costs more, you pay the difference online.
• Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. If you bought one online you may still withdraw within 14 days of purchase, as long as it has not been used, and get a full refund.
• You can check the balance and expiry date at any time on the Check a gift card page. Keep the code safe: anyone who knows it can use it.
• If you cancel a booking paid with a gift card within the cancellation terms, the amount goes back onto the card.

Allergies, health and minors

Please tell us about allergies and intolerances when booking: we will do our best to adapt the class, but common allergens are handled in our kitchens. Minors may take part only where the class allows it and when accompanied by an adult.

Liability

During the class please follow the staff's instructions. We are not liable for damage caused by failing to follow them or for unattended belongings.

Reviews

We only publish reviews from guests who took a class: the link to write one arrives by email after the class, is personal and allows one review per booking. We publish positive and negative reviews alike; before publishing we read them only to remove offensive text, other people's personal data or content that is not about the experience. We do not offer payment, discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews. The average is calculated on all published reviews.

Complaints

For any issue write to info@jfgmentors.it or to our certified email jfg@pec.net: we reply within a few days and always look for a solution.

Changes

We may update these terms; each booking is governed by the version in force when it was made.

Governing law

Italian law applies. Consumers may always turn to the courts of their place of residence, and keep all the protections of the Italian Consumer Code.
